Since 2015, Project 189 Bangkok has hosted several multi-disciplinary artists in residence and exhibitions, such as Philipp Bünger (DE), Tiane Doan Na Champansak (FR), Nana Chen (TW), Mark Emblem (UK), Susanne Bonowicz (DE), Sonia Hamza (FR), Harriet Murray & Neil Taylor (UK), Gabriele Harhoff (DE) and João Viana (AO). Ring“Tones”, an Experimental Playground by the Hong Kong firm AaaM Architects, is curated and organized by Paco García Moro and will be exhibited at Baan Rim Naam, from Feb 1 to Feb 9 2020 in occasion of the Bangkok Design Week, run by the Thailand Culture and Creative Center and the Ministry of Culture.

Inspired by old-world child toys, Ring“Tones”, an Experimental Playground turns into a dreamy paradise where colorful interactive devices will fill the old secret gardens of Thalad Noi (the ‘Little Market’). An immersive installation sketching spaces, devices for discovery through game, shared experiences and joy where space, mirco-architecture and heritage acquire an unexpected healing power to the daily metropolitan pressure.The appearance of the module parts differs from day to night. The night shines intertwine reflecting an inviting charm on the shores of the slow majesty of Chao Phraya river. Whether you are an adult or a child, let’s “PLAY” together in the heart of Bangkok Old Town.
